I have to admit, blogging does't come naturally to me so I have not been the best about updating all of you, but I felt like this was the perfect post to help me jump back in:
Last night I caught a quick portion of the ESPYs and it felt like a sign from above that I started watching just before Stuart Scott's incredible speech as he accepted the Jimmy V award. My next scan is just around the corner, on the 22nd, and his perspective, his attitude, and his strength capture everything I have felt and everything I have fought to be in my own fight.
"Fighting is winning...you beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live. So live, fight like hell, and when you get tired, lay down and rest and let others fight for you...This whole fight and this journey is not a solo venture...it's something that requires support"
Thank YOU for being there for me every step of the way.
P.S. Because of copyright issues ESPN took down the original speech, but this video attached will give you the gist of it!
