This is at the finish line of the Shamrock Shuffle 8k in Chicago last weekend with Julie, Devin, Cailie, and myself...the dream team.
This was the first time I ran an official race and the first time I've run that far since surgery. Even with some sore legs afterwards, it felt great! Friends and family have continued to say it - a valuable reminder - that it's so important to continue to set goals, and know that no matter what, I can and will accomplish everything I put my mind to.
For Julie, this run was just another jog in the park :) She cranked out 16 miles the day before in preparation for the Cincinnati Full Marathon on May 4th. She will be running the marathon to raise money for my foundation, please check out her website!
Her goal is to raise $100 for every mile for a total of $2620, all going directly to my foundation. I need your help to continue to spread the word and help others join Team KK!
